It was a pleasure to stay with Boma Simba. Me and my fiancé (I proposed to her on a safari tour organiced by Boma Simba) and I felt so welcome. The service was immaculate and the entire staff was incredibly thoughtful and kind. On my fiancés birthday she was presented with a cake while the whole staff sang for her. The location is perfect since you basically are in the park close to the Voi gate to Tsavo east. The food, the roomservice, the pool, the staff and the ownership have been phenomenal. I know this sounds made up but it’s true. If you need reassurance @ me on instagram and I will confirm this review (okeytredway). We will 100% recommend this place to our friends and family. Thank you Boma Simba for a once in a lifetime experience P.S. We recommend the driver the lodge organized for us ( I think his name is Dominik)
This was literally my favourite stop so far in Kenya! The manager James was incredibly friendly and helpful. They have individual spots for your overlander to park up in which helps with privacy. The views of the mountains are breathtaking. There is a shack/shed to do your cooking in which is very clean. All the staff there are so friendly. The toilets were extremely clean and well managed. The showers were nice and hot for people that don’t like the cold showers. Plenty of plug sockets to charge your devices and the WiFi works all the way into your tents. Couldn’t recommend this site enough.
Very close to the park, the place is authentic and really beutiful! The staff is very very friendly and helpful. I would like to specially thank and recommend the Chef Tony, the meals he prepared were super tasty, I couldnt get enough of the food he prepared. He is also a really friendly and funny guy, his character brigthens up your day! Also the owner joined us on our group at the bonfire that was lit, he is very friendly and we had a nice conversation about the beuties of Kenya. The rooms were really nice in a bungalow style that adds to the authenticity. I would definitely recommend the place to visit and have a good time!
Perfect location and starting point to visit Tsavo East NP. Only 1 mile from the gate. The campground/lodge has a pool, clean restrooms and hot showers. Pitches are really nice and private. Every pitch has a water tap. In addition, the campsite/lodge is located directly on the border fence to the national park and there is a waterhole just two meters from the fence. With a bit of luck, you can even watch animals from your camper while drinking something cold. The service and staff were helpful, friendly and really nice. We were even able to buy and print out the entrance tickets for the national park at the lodge the evening before. Everything was taken care of for us. There is a restaurant with really good food and a bar. We didn't miss anything and we would happily recommend this place.
Welcoming and very nice structure. We slept in a typical hut, very suggestive and very close to the Tsavo East park. Good food, swimming pool and in the evening there is the possibility of sitting around the fire. I will spend a few more words on the staff and specifically on Cathrine: she is a fantastic 21 year old girl, super sweet and nice. We spent a pleasant afternoon with her where we told each other and compared our traditions. Always smiling, super helpful. I will always carry her in my memories of this beautiful holiday. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING CATHRINE. P.S.: If you are looking for a lodge that allows you to sleep inside the savannah this is located outside but only three minutes from the main entrance of the park.
